Auditions
Pegasus holds auditions throughout the year, usually a few months before each show. (Check the Auditions page often for further details.)

Training
We offer classes on an occasional basis for actors and technicians (check out the Training page for details.), and we hope to become more involved with local schools in order to provide training and opportunities for young actors.

Volunteers
We encourage volunteers of all kinds, from actors and carpenters to publicity people, lighting and sound crew, grant writers, and fundraising specialists. (Visit our How You Can Help page to find out about volunteer opportunities.)

Donations
We welcome donors who can help us promote the performing arts in the Russian River and West Sonoma County areas. (See our How You Can Help page to learn how you can donate.)

Vision Statement
Pegasus Theater Company was established in 1998 with the intention of presenting quality productions for the enjoyment of the Russian River community and surrounding areas. We aspire to increase appreciation for theater by offering plays that are thought provoking as well as entertaining. By presenting theater of many types and styles, we hope to develop a broad-based audience.

Our goals:

  • To create a high standard of professionalism in our community theater by attracting and developing talented actors, directors, designers, technicians, and other backstage and support volunteers.
  • To encourage personal artistic growth by providing opportunities for individuals to explore their interests in theater through classes, on-the-job training, and mentoring.
  • To establish a standard of excellence in performance and production values as well as in personal conduct and integrity.
  • To achieve a balance between artistic expression and personal discipline so that we are responsible artists as well as creative artists.
  • To support each other and the community we serve. We insist on an environment of tolerance and respect for our differences. Consensus and harmony are valued as crucial to our success.

Whatever parts we play at Pegasus, we do so with the understanding that our participation is a privilege. In exercising that privilege, we hope to share our love and enthusiasm for the ancient art of theater with our extended community.
